Privacy Policy

The short version
Dottiq does not collect, store, or sell personal data. We don't have accounts, we don't set tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics. Your shortlist lives only in your browser session and is gone when you close the tab.
What we process
When you use Dottiq, the following data is processed:
- Your prompt— sent to OpenAI to generate name suggestions. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to that processing.
- Domain names — queried against public IANA RDAP servers and optionally the Porkbun API to check availability. These are standard DNS-layer queries and do not contain personal information.
What we do not do
- We do not create user accounts or require sign-in.
- We do not set tracking or advertising cookies.
- We do not run third-party analytics scripts.
- We do not store your prompts or search history.
- We do not sell or share data with third parties beyond what is described above.
Session data
Your shortlist is stored in browser memory (React state) only. It is never sent to our servers and is cleared when you close or refresh the page.
Server logs
Like any web server, our hosting provider may retain standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for operational and security purposes. These logs are not used for tracking or profiling.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how we handle data in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
